WW2 Ring orange and durabilityThis band is inlaid with timber from an M1 Garand rifle stock. The M1 Garand replaced the M1903 Springfield as the standard service rifle in the Mid 1930s. This design was used as the standard service rifle both in WW2 and the US Korean War. This stock has seen active duty, but has been broken beyond repair.
